I was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia. There, I got a B.S in Mathematics at Universidad Sergio Arboleda, and a B.S in Statistics at Universidad Nacional de Colombia. After surviving that, I worked for about three years as a Lecturer at Universidad Sergio Arboleda and was involved in research at different institutions in Colombia, focusing on Genomics Statistics.

I like traveling. I enjoy visiting new places and discovering new things; traveling was just a fantasy when I was a kid. I love spending time with my friends and family and playing sports, especially soccer.

On Houston:

I am always surprised that here I feel a very personal treat. I am always supported by the professors and all the staff of the university, which is incredible.

On Fulbright:

I love the cultural interchange and getting to know incredible people in the program. Also, we have tons of benefits and special treatment.

Fun Fact:

I love listening to and singing latin music. Vallenato and Shakira are my weaknesses.
